Introducing Allianz Global Investors Capital

Three of our invesmtent firms are now a cohesive organization capable of offering solutions across a wide spectrum of asset classes.

Three Allianz Global Investors investment firms—Nicholas-Applegate Capital Management LLC (NACM), NFJ Investment Group LLC (NFJ) and Oppenheimer Capital LLC (OCC)— have formally come together under the name Allianz Global Investors Capital LLC (AGI Capital or AGIC). Since 2008, these three managers have been working toward integrating their support functions and leveraging their best practices. As a result, what was once a collection of partners is now a cohesive organization capable of offering solutions across a wide spectrum of asset classes, with investment teams in three locations: San Diego, Dallas and New York.

While the support systems for AGI Capital’s investment teams are now completely integrated, their investment processes and strategies remain autonomous: no common research platform or top-down philosophy changes. The AGI Capital business model is designed to preserve each team’s unique investment process and philosophy while providing them with world-class back office and front office support.

NACM and OCC fund names changed

Effective August 25, 2010, the Nicholas-Applegate and Oppenheimer Capital names were retired. Accordingly, the names of their associated funds were changed to adopt the AGIC acronym. So, for example, the “Allianz NACM Income & Growth Fund” was renamed the “Allianz AGIC Income & Growth Fund.” This change applies to all open-end funds and 529 portfolios formerly branded with the NACM or OCC names and all closed-end funds formerly branded with the NACM or Nicholas-Applegate names. (The only exception to this rule was in the case of Allianz NACM Growth Fund, which was renamed Allianz AGIC Systematic Growth Fund.) There was no change to the Funds’ portfolio managers or investment strategies as a result of this rebranding.

NFJ fund names remain the same

It is important to note that AGI Capital has decided to retain the NFJ name on all strategies managed by NFJ Investment Group out of Dallas given the strong brand equity that NFJ has built in the marketplace. As a result, you will notice no change to the names of NFJ funds.
