Stimulus Package Fails to Address the Housing Crisis

PIMCO's Bill Gross appeared on CNBC-TV's The Wall Street Journal Report on March 1, 2008.
Gross discussed strategies to help the slowing U.S. economy. According to Gross, Fed easing isn't helping and the fiscal stimulus package fails to address the heart of the problem. Unless the government injects the housing and mortgage markets with capital, we could see home prices drop another 5-10 percent.

Stagflation is sluggish economic growth coupled with a high rate of inflation and unemployment.
